shuts down while using it (bad thing to happing)

     have 908pro shuts down while using it

    have to hold power button for over 20 to 30 seconds to boot back up then within few min it will shut down again

    battery shows more then half full to full

    this won't happen with the power core plug in it will stay on

    was told it a bad battery unit is only little over year old not what i expected to have few housand dollar brick

    what could be done to help? at 70 year old i still need to work can't keep buying bricks every year

     Looks like you have figured it out. Sounds like a battery needed.Have you given it a full charge.m if not try that.My 908 has a battery that is over 2 years old now and no signs of trouble. Maybe have a tablet tech check it out and replace the battery if its failing. Hope this helps

     If it has a typical circular power adapter plug port, can't see why having a few of these auxillary batteries wouldn't get you by just fine.

      If you take only  the cord for the portable auxiliary 12 volt lith ion battery  and plug into the circular DC power source jack (where you plug in power supply to charge, on the opposite end of cord , check with a DVOM it should read the voltage of the internal battery and be able to tell you if  the internal battery voltage  is falling on it's ass or not. Probably would also want to see if the power supply that charges the internal battery puts can put out the correct voltage and maybe even  load test it with a small automotive light bulb that does not exceed the output of the power supply that charges the internal battery to verify it still works ok.

    scanner bought it 5/2014-exp-5/2015

    been using it with power adpater plug in it will stay on all day when i have to us it remote with in 5 to 10 mins it shuts down

    battery show full

     it does sound like the battery is failing..
